Uzumaki Naruto

Uzumaki Naruto
Not the brightest or gifted shinobi Naruto is part of team 7 originally consisting of himself, Sakura haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kakaski hatake. With the defect of his former team mate Sasuke, Naruto vows to find and return him no matter what the cost. Naruto also is a jinchuriki, sealing inside of him a great demon fox. This at the beginning has given Naruto quite a hard childhood and has helped mold him into the kind of person who never wants to see anyone suffer because they are lonely or outcasted. The fox sealed inside of him also gives him a massive reserve of chakra, enabling him to do techniques beyond his skill level.

Uchiha Sasuke

He is a former leaf ninja and team 7 member. Considered to be a genius his skill was ranked top of his class as a genin. When he was younger his older brother had killed his parents and his entire clan leaving only Sasuke and himself as the last heirs to the Uchiha blood. In order to get revenge Sasuke decided that he would need more power and in order to do so he defected from the leaf village and left to train with Orochimaru(also a former leaf ninja and wanted criminal)

Haruno Sakura

Also part of the original team 7,Sakura unlike most characters in the anime hasn’t had such a tragic beginning. Although not very useful in the beginning , under Tsunades training she has become an excellent medical ninja. She is able to control her chakra so precisely that she is able to to use it to increase the strength of her punches to an inhuman degree. It is even said that she can potentially one day surpass the fifth hokage.

Hatake Kakashi

Kakashi is the leader of team 7 and one of the strongest ninja’s in hidden leaf, he posseses a sharingan that was given to him by a former team mate who had died. Kakashi is almost always seen reading a book, most likely of the pornagraphic sort that was written by Jiraiya-sama. He is also always shown wearing a mask, whether he’s eating. sleeping, or taking a bath.

Sai

Sai is added to team 7 as a replacement for Sasuke, and is a “root” member(a division of ANBU). Sai has little or no emotions and is constantly unkowingly insulting those around him.Sai’s most notable talent is his skill as an artist, and he has claimed to have drawn thousands of pictures. Despite the great quantity and magnitude of the things he has drawn, he has never given one of his works a name, his lack of emotion making it impossible for him to form a significant enough attachment to his art to give titles.

Yamato

He is a member of ANBU and sent to team 7 as a replacement for Kakashi. Yamato is of course is code name and not his real name. He also formerly worked under Kakashi when Kakashi was still in ANBU.
As a Jonin and temporarily-relieved member of ANBU, he is highly proficient in multiple areas of shinobi combat, including tracking and trapping. During his test of his new team’s skills, he demonstrated considerable ability in taijutsu and clever use of diversionary tactics. Also, thanks to his training as an ANBU black ops, Yamato has keen instincts in battle, allowing him to quickly react to threats.

Pein
Nagato


Nagato (??), better known as Pain (???, Pein), is the recognized leader of Akatsuki and Amegakure and is a major antagonist in the series. Referred to as “Leader” by all Akatsuki members except for Konan, who refers to him by his name, he directs the actions of the others and maintains authority over them. He takes orders from Tobi,[1] who is actually Madara Uchiha, the benefactor of Akatsuki.

Deidara

Deidara (????) was the youngest member of Akatsuki and was partnered by Sasori and Tobi, consecutively, before his death
Intelligence Deidara was very intelligent, often using tricks, misdirection, and calculated gambles to get his explosives in range of an opponent, like he did in the fight against Gaara, putting clay into Gaara’s sand when it destroyed his arm.

Madara Uchiha


Madara Uchiha (??????, Uchiha Madara), who poses as Tobi[1] (??) when first introduced, is a founder of the Uchiha clan, Konohagakure, and Akatsuki. When he joins Akatsuki as Tobi (replacing Sasori), he is partnered with Deidara, revealing himself as Madara after Deidara’s death.
Most of Madara’s abilities are still unknown. He is remarked to be the strongest Uchiha to ever live and one of the most gifted ninja in history. He was described as a “very powerful ninja” by Minato Namikaze himself.

Itachi Uchiha

Itachi Uchiha (??????, Uchiha Itachi) is Sasuke Uchiha’s older brother, and a missing-nin from Konohagakure, and a prominent member of Akatsuki, partnered with Kisame Hoshigaki. He and Kisame were the first active Akatsuki members to appear.

Zetsu

Zetsu (??) is a member of Akatsuki functioning as the organization’s spy.

Konan

Konan (??) is the only female ninja in Akatsuki and the only member to call her partner, Nagato, by his name.
Konan is a shinobi of great power, as she is held in high regard by her partner Pain.

Sasori

Sasori (???, Sasori) also known as Sasori of the Red Sand (??????, Akasuna no Sasori) was a member of Akatsuki prior to his death, and was partnered with Deidara, Orochimaru before that. He was the first Akatsuki member to die (at least on-screen) in the series. In the short amount of time that he was shown, Sasori was a relatively popular character. In the first poll he was in (the 6th overall poll) he placed 6th on the list.[1]Sasori (?) means “scorpion”.

Kisame Hoshigaki

Kisame Hoshigaki (????, Hoshigaki Kisame) is a missing-nin from Kirigakure and was partnered with Itachi Uchiha within Akatsuki.
Kisame is said to be the strongest of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He has been seen displaying astonishing speed and incredible physical strength.

Orochimaru

Orochimaru (???, Orochimaru) was one of Konohagakure’s Sannin. He later became a member of Akatsuki and the leader of Otogakure. He was the primary antagonist for most of Part I.
Being one of the Sannin as well as a former member of Akatsuki, Orochimaru is an extraordinarily powerful ninja. H

Kakazu

Kakuzu (??) was the partner of Hidan despite their mutual dislike of each other. Kisame laughingly referred to Hidan and Kakuzu as the “Zombie Brothers”.
Kakuzu was a very powerful ninja, as every opponent he had been seen defeating had been defeated with little effort.
Hidan

Hidan (??) was the partner of Kakuzu having mutual dislike with each other, and was the second newest member of Akatsuki at the time of his expulsion from his village.

Kabuto Yakushi


Kabuto Yakushi (?????, Yakushi Kabuto) is Orochimaru’s personal medic, assistant, and general right-hand man
Kabuto has proven himself to be a skilled and cunning ninja, particularly because of his medical abilities.

Might Guy

Might Guy (??????, Maito Gai) is the extremely zealous leader of Team Guy, consisting of Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga, and Tenten.
Guy is one of Konoha’s top ninja and a specialist of taijutsu.

Tsunade


Tsunade (??) is the Fifth and present Hokage of Konohagakure. She took over after Hiruzen Sarutobi died. Along with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, she is one of the Legendary Sannin of Konoha, and currently the only one still alive after Jiraiya’s death and Orochimaru permanently sealed. She excels in medical ninjutsu

Kurenai Yuhi

Kurenai Yuhi (???, Y?hi Kurenai) is the Konoha Jonin in charge of Team 8, which consists of Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame and Hinata Hyuga. Kurenai’s team specializes in tracking.
As the top Genjutsu specialist of the Leaf Village, most of her techniques revolve around Genjutsu. Her skill at Genjutsu is so great that it is able to enter the subconscious of a person to see one’s true nature.

Asuma Sarutobi

Asuma Sarutobi (?????, Sarutobi Asuma) was the leader of Team 10, consisting of Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi and Ino Yamanaka.
Asuma’s battle style revolved mainly around taijutsu combined with his trench knives. These knives were made of a special metal that was capable of being infused with chakra. With his Flying Swallow, he could extend the blades with his chakra to injure an enemy several feet out of the physical blade’s range.

Jiraiya

Jiraiya (???) was one of the legendary Sannin, along with Tsunade and Orochimaru, who was trained by the Third Hokage. He was a self proclaimed super-pervert, and wrote a popular adult book series called Icha Icha, a favorite of Kakashi Hatake. He was also known as the Toad Sage (????, Gama Sennin), because of his signature toad summonings. He was the Fourth Hokage’s teacher, then Naruto Uzumaki’s. Jiraiya had the kanji for “oil” on his forehead protector Being one of the three Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya was an extremely powerful ninja, being considered Kage-level.

Hinata

Hinata Hyuga (?????, Hy?ga Hinata) is a member of the Hyuga clan. She is on Team 8 with Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame, under the leadership of Kurenai Yuhi.
ByakuganAs a member of the Hyuga clan, Hinata possesses the Byakugan which she becomes a force using in shippuuden.

Kiba Inuzuka

Kiba Inuzuka (????, Inuzuka Kiba) is part of Team 8. He and his dog Akamaru fight together as a team.
AgilityIt has been showed that among all the ninjas, Kiba has been one of the most fast ninja in the anime and manga.

Shino Aburame

Shino Aburame (????, Aburame Shino) is a ninja from Konohagakure.
Strategical PlanningIn battle, Shino is able to take great use of his intelligence, being able to use his analytical and observational skills to make shrewd judgments with pinpoint reasoning. Like Shikamaru Nara, Shino prevails in battles by systematically staying several steps ahead of the enemy, as well as being known for a mid to long range fighter keeping a good distance to avoid enemy attacks. Because of this, Shino is fairly confident in his abilities and that he will win a battle, and tends to try to communicate this to an opponent for their own well-being. Still, Shino enjoys fighting and dislikes being denied a chance to battle a skilled opponent

Ino Yamanaka

Ino Yamanaka (????, Yamanaka Ino) is a Kunoichi and member of Team 10 with Choji Akimichi and Shikamaru Nara, under the leadership of Asuma Sarutobi.

Choji Akimichi

Choji Akimichi (??????, Akimichi Ch?ji) is a loyal and kind-hearted member of Asuma Sarutobi’s Team 10, consisting of himself, Shikamaru Nara, and Ino Yamanaka who proves himself throughout the series to be a good friend and genuinely nice person. Choji, Shikamaru and Ino call themselves the “Ino-Shika-Cho Trio,” just like their fathers before them.

Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru Nara (??????, Nara Shikamaru) is a ninja from Konohagakure. He is a member of Team 10 led by Asuma Sarutobi along with his teammates Choji Akimichi and Ino Yamanaka.

Tenten

Tenten (????, Tenten) is a kunochi from Konohagakure. She’s the female member of Team Guy, the teammate of Rock Lee and Neji Hyuga, and specializes in throwing weapons by summoning them from specially prepared scrolls. The change in her outfit from the manga to the anime was her shirt was blue not pink. The animators thought she should have “warmer” colors.

Neji Hyuga

Neji Hyuga (????, Hy?ga Neji) is a branch member of the Hyuga clan, famed as a natural genius. He is also a member of Team Guy.
Since a young age, Neji has been held to be a natural genius, even becoming the top-ranked rookie in his class. His father has even stated that his talent and potential surpasses all other members of their clan, while his uncle told his youngest daughter that no one else had thicker Hyuga blood than he did. While most of the former Konoha Genin become Chunin over the timeskip, Neji is the only one to become a Jonin.
